Shakima Wimbley
Iām Shakima Wimbley, MSW, RCSWI, a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern. I provide support to individuals and families, helping them navigate emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. I have experience in inpatient and outpatient behavioral health settings, working with clients managing co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns. I take a strengths-based, person-centered approach, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness techniques to help clients build resilience, manage stress, and create meaningful change. My goal is to create a space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to take the next step toward wellness. At Northeast Family Services, I am committed to helping clients of all ages feel understood and capable of moving forward, believing that growth begins with self-compassion and the courage to take the next step.
