Jannette Amador
Hi, I'm Jannette Amador, a bilingual (English/Spanish) Mental Health Counselor who earned my Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I have been in the mental health field for 15 years, with experience in psychiatric hospitals, recovery houses, working with parents of children with disabilities, in home family therapy, LGBTQ+ substance use rehabilitation, and telehealth individual therapy.
I enjoy working with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, relationship challenges, grief, life transitions, and substance use. My therapeutic approach is collaborative, affirming, and tailored to each person's unique needs. I integrate CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and strengths-based interventions to help clients develop practical coping skills, build resilience, and create meaningful change.
My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time outdoors, playing pool, woodworking, and spending time with my dog, Ellie. I believe healing happens through authentic connection, and I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey.
