Andrew Sylvia
Hello! My name is Andrew Sylvia, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Massachusetts. I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported as they navigate life's challenges. My goal is to create a welcoming, comfortable, and nonjudgmental environment where individuals can openly explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, person-centered, and strengths-based. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and trauma-informed practices to help individuals better understand themselves, develop healthy coping strategies, and work toward meaningful personal goals. I recognize that everyone's experiences and needs are unique, and I strive to tailor therapy to each individual.
I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD-related challenges, stress, burnout, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, self-esteem concerns, and difficulties with emotional regulation. Through my experience in school and long-term care settings, I have also supported individuals who have experienced trauma, strengthening my understanding of how past experiences can influence emotional well-being, relationships, and everyday life.
Above all, I believe therapy is a partnership. You are the expert on your own life, and I look forward to working alongside you to build on your strengths, overcome challenges, and create meaningful, lasting change.
